This bag is overpriced, overhyped and cold!
It is badly designed, filling is clupming, fabric is not waterproof, zipper is undersized, prone to freezing and snagging.
Stay away from it. DO NOT BUY!!!!

I just returned from a 5 week ski trip to Ellesmere island. I Was shivering in this bag at -20F. I had an Exped sleeping pad with R value 9.5, a down jacket and down pants and down booties.
The zipper is under sized, constantly snagging and it was frozen along its whole length. That is dangerous in polar bear country. The fabric is mot breathing at all. The fearhers are shifting, creating clumps and
cold spots. The hood is badly designed and uncomfortable.
This is the worst sleeping bag I ever had. It is overhyped, overpriced and poorly designed.

You won't find a warmer bag. I've tried lots. On extended trips, good sleep is everything. Keeps you strong. You can try some -30 bag made in China and start feeling cold when it gets -10. But this bag is the real thing. Hand made in Seattle with 850+ down. I was in minus 50 degrees F in Siberia for two weeks and this bag almost felt hot at night. Every other person at the station was cold, and some of them dangerously so. I stand by the Snowy Owl. I would never use anything else now.

First off at the top of this review it might not say that I am a Climber witch I am because the comp that I wrote this review had some crazy font made up of dots and 90degre angle. This bag is totaly dialed for ICe Climbing so cold that you feel like all your blood is being sucked out of your body. If you get this bag get it with 800 fill and with the EPIC micro fibers and DONT GET IT WITH THE CRAPY FABRIC THAT IS EVEN LESS BREATHABLE THAN Gore-Tex DryLoft. Dryloft may me somewhat water proff but when you wake up you find your selk totaly dranched and the fabric that FF uses I think its called like PETF or somthin' like that any way it is much much much more water proff that Gore-Tex but it is also a bit less breathable. EPIC n the other hand is basicly microfibers that have each been indaviguly waterprofed and since the is no damn goretex membrane it is totaly dry.
PS Goretex is discing them selfs when thay name there product DRYLOFT
lol. If I spelled some things rong its because I am for one rushing to get this done and because I am 12 years old

I've had mine for years and, though I haven't kept up with the company, think it's changed a little... looks like they beefed it up or something. whatever. it's a great bag;; the removeable collar works great, also good for hiding cash when traveling; this bag and a bivvy sack got me from England to China and back over three years, highlands, lowlands, rock festivals, deserts, great bag, good waterproofing, WARM.

Customer Service

FF was great to work with when I got the bag; went out of their way to fill it per request and ship it out fast
