DESCRIPTION

Another triumph from Kelty--this pack has all the hydration and gear-holding room you'll need for a day on the trail. Mesh-lined shoulder straps and polyester mesh back panel help keep you cool and dry by allowing air circulation. Adjustable auto-indexing shoulder strap suspension system allows a custom fit while it evenly distributes the load. Zip-out raincover stored in a pouch on the bottom helps keep your pack dry in all weather conditions. Internal pocket holds a 70-oz. Platypus® hydration bladder (included) with hose and bite valve. Stowable waistbelt features removable pouches that can be taken off and looped onto your belt--they double as zippered pockets for take-along storage. Foam-reinforced stash/shovel pocket with straps and mesh sides allow you to expand or cinch your load tight. Two nylon mesh side pockets for your water bottles.

Torrey 1950. Great pack, terrible bladder. I bought this as a "Hot Deal" in March of '04. The pack itself is fantastic. Well designed, and the perfect size for a day-long treck into the wilderness. Hands-down the best daypack I've ever owned. I've even carried it on an overnight snow camping trip when pulling most of my gear in a sled. I find the pack very comfortable. Unfortunately, the water bladder has leaked from the fill opening virtually every single time I've used it. I've screwed the darn thing down so tight it took two people to open, but it still leaks. I finally bought a 70 oz Camelback insert ($30) to replace it and finally have the perfect pack. It would be an easy 5 stars if it didn't leak. From looking at new Kelty hydration packs at REI, it looks like they've redesigned the bladders.
