I have the EMS Traverse that is the same boot as the Alico Guide. My wife bought us both a pair 4 years ago and I have been using it year 'round since and love it. Lots of support, pretty light. My brother has had his longer and is on his second or third sole. He puts high mileage on his and they are still going strong.

Customer Service

EMS is tops when it comes to customer service. No dealings with Alico because it is such a great product.

I too have the EMS Traverse, and I also love them. I tried on about 10 different pairs of boots before I got these, and they have made my feet very happy. The break in time was a little long (about 100 miles), and my feet got WORKED, but in the end, the boots fit perfect. I took them up the Grand, across about 40 miles of slickrock in Canyonlands and even used them ice climbing in Rocky Mtn NP (they will accept step in crampons). I love these boots!
