Price Paid:

at Rock and Snow Summary: I have used these boots 3 or 4 times a week for the last 2 1/2 years on my local heathland (quite stoney).I don't think that is very hard use, but the sole has worn through on one boot and is about to go on the other.
Apart from this major gripe the boots have been excellent Customer Service: The cheapest resole I have been quoted is only £8 less than a new pair of GTX's

at A UK based store Summary: I have a pair of Berghaus Storm boots which I have used in Cambodia and in Thailand. I find them very good in terms of ankle support and grip. The sole is not too stiff and I have found them OK for running too. The goretex works well even in 42 degrees centigrade.
Maybe it is the heat or humidity of these countries but both boots are about to part company with their soles. I don't rate my chances of finding the right glue with which to repair them very highly so they may have to wait until I can get them back to Berghaus on my next UK trip. The boots are about three and a half years old.
In terms of performance I think they are fine and, once the sole are fixed, they will continue to be.
All the best

, from Plymouth, UK Summary: Excellent boot, they are the most comfortable I have ever owned. I have used them on dartmoor and in the alps during the summer for low level stuff and they have performed well. The most impressive feature is the ability to be used with the yeti attak gaitor, this combination means that you can wade through rivers just over a foot deep without getting your feet wet. Customer Service: The rubber rand on my yetis started to split after two 20mile walks so i put them in my scanner and sent the picture of the damage off to berghaus. They replied quickly and offered to replace the rand free of charge if i sent the yitis off to them. Quite reasonable if you ask me. Similar Products Used: None

, from UK Summary: When I first bought these boots I was delighted. First use, a 20 mile hike in Alaska, wonderful, no blisters - but this might have been in part due to the use of 1000mile liner socks plus Thulos. Intially 100% waterproof even when crossing braided rivers. After about three years the suede on the boots started to crack and despite frequent treatment have failed to stop it developing. Fot the last year, they have leaked despite the Goretex lining and are now only fit for use in dry conditions. I have used them a lot and done a lot of miles in them but expected them to last longer and stay waterproof. Never had a blister using the above combination. Soles appear little worn but grip not as good as I would like and tend to clog with mud. Customer Service: Have not complained direct to Berghaus but retailer unhelpful and thinks that I should not expect a fabric boot to last any longer than this. Similar Products Used: None
