Summary:
I bought my first pair of these boots about 1 1/2 years ago. The first thing to note is they tend to run a little narrow. I had to get a 1/2 size larger than other danner boots I own.
The first pair were the best pair of boots I have ever owned and I live in boots. They seemed to be molded to my feet. The boots can be tightened up very tightly for increased support. The boots held up extremely well for a year.
Two weeks before the warranty was up, one year, I noticed they were leaking around the tongue. I brought in the orginal receipt and the boots and they gave me a brand new pair no questions asked, wow!
The newer pair I have to admit didn't seem to wear nearly as well. There was a seam along the tongue that would bother my foot after a couple of miles walking. After wearing them around for a few weeks this problem has gone away.
Finally, these boots are great for everyday wear and well established trail walking.
Cons: Because they have a pull up strap in back, pants never go down around the outside of the boots making it nearly impossible to keep debris out if hiking through the woods where there are no trails.
Would highly recommend to anyone.
