Summary:
I've had these boots for a year now, but I definitely can't bear another hiking season in them. They are fairly comfortable from the start & amazingly waterproof. BUT they just don't provide enough cushioning from impact for me, despite adding special insoles. My ankles & knees ache from impact even after just day hikes, & on descents the soles of my feet feel each & every pebble. I've never had this problem with a hiking boot before.

Price Paid:  $165.00 at Summit Hut

Summary:
These are extremely comfortable shoes - no kidding! I've used them on several weekend backpacking trips, as well as day hikes and come out 100% blister free - even after really steep trails. I've tested the waterproof gore-tex several times by walking through shallow streams, and am still impressed (and dry!). If you're looking to stay dry, gore-tex is really the way to go. I love these shoes.

Customer Service:
These guys are the BEST. They let you try out your shoes in the real world and will refund your money if you're not satisfied. They'll also make corections to your shoes for blisters and etc. for free! But you probably won't need that service with these shoes.
