Customer Service: Bought that watch in Austria about 5 years ago. Today our puppy has eaten the strap, thus making the watch unuseable. Kindly let me know where to order the the spare one. I haven's seen this watch in the Czech Republic. Thanks. KD

Summary: great watch, i just lost it in the gym locker room and im pissed.
i had this watch for about 3 years. bought it on whim, didnt do any research into altimeter watches, i just liked the price and the fact that it wasnt the size of an ancient sundial on my wrist. had used it on many many mountaineering trips including two to denali. accurate enough on altitude for general mountaineering use. when i would compare it to my buddies who all had much more expensive altimeter watches, it was always withing 100ft of their readings (of course you have to calibrate it at known elevations), never used the compass. never used any of the other functions. it got very very scratched up climbing due to the face which has no protection from the surrounding plastic, but still worked well. replaced the battery and no problems. now i need to find another one. i wonder if the new models are as good.

Summary: The watch seemed like a steal at $50 bucks, so I picked it up. It worked extremely well for what i used it for. It did everything it was supposed to do. My lettering over the buttons is still there, after a year. My only comlaints come now. After replacing the battery the watch went haywire, i can't wear it or else the movement will reset the dern thing.

Summary: I didn't have this product for a long time(settled on a Suunto with HRM). However, I thought it seemed very well made. There were 2 reasons why I eventually chose the Suunto. 1. Altitude on the Nike is updated every 2 minutes. Too long of a span if you're cycling, especially with fast descents.
2. Suunto is much more comfortable on the wrist.
3. Suunto battery is user-replaceable. Watches with all these functions use a lot of battery power.
4. Suunto has very handy log books and history--for example, I can set the watch to keep track of all the altitude climbed this season. And it has a heart monitor.
As I read these reviews, I really wonder about people who complain that the altimeter has to constantly calibrated. Of course it does! All barometric altimeters do. There's no perfect altimeter--even GPS units
