Summary: I am a begginer, and I must say, I was looking for a low quality second hand board to start out with. I came across this fabulous board for $100! It's incredibly responsive.

Summary: Its True , The Palmer Crown 2007 is a good light board, fast and great off piste. But what is the point of all
this if after 2 months of riding the board starts to self destruct?
Disappointment to say the least, after taking time to look for a top board to take to Les Arc France for the season.
After the first month, the back tip started to split which was not due to hitting rocks ,
i repaired this by rebonding the decks together again, this was real hard to do with carbon fibre once out of the mould, but it worked although didnt look too pretty. Now the side wall, where the flouresent green strip is bonded to the top deck, has popped and opened up starting to run a split along the edge of the board..Allowing the moisture to get into the ply, so the problem is just going to get worse. It also chips and marks real easy, being carbon topped.
This board is sold as the board for advanced riders, but theres no way this board could stand up to freeriding in all conditions.
To add insult to injury, try getting hold of Palmer.....
Several e mails no response, retailer says go straight to Palmer as he would have to send the board back to them anyway. I find it difficult to understand how u you can spend £525.00 on a board and have no back up or response when product is faulty.I see now why people buy Burton,at least the back up is there.

Summary: This board is my second one and I am very happy with it. First, it's very light and quite responsive. My old board was Ride System and it was too havy and hard to control. I felt a lot better using this board. One problem I found is that after riding it for 3~4 times it acquired more bottom damage than I expected. It lost some bottom coting and I see (very) small gap between metal siding and the board. But no biggy. I believe this is still a very good board for its price.

Summary: This board is capable of handling almost any mountainous terrain. I had tried it though double diamond to high speed icy slopes. One exceptio is that it's not really stable though rough bumpy terrain. For the light weight, I think it's worthed even for experience riders.

Summary: Palmer's make kick ass boards and this is no exception. If you're a beginner/intermediate (more beginner than anything), this board will be perfect for you. In my opinion, it's almost impossible to fall/catch an edge on this sucker. My friends rode it and called it the "Butter board" or the "Cadillac" because it's so damn smooth. Just make sure you get one that's long enough for you cuz the effective edges on this thing are pretty short.
