at Retailer I worked for. Summary: I have used this tent in several winter/fall epic's and have always been completely pleased to use it. Set-up is not exactly fast and easy, but certainly reasonable - even in strong winds/gusts. The Citadel is excellent as a basecamp type tent. Solid and unflappable, especially when guyed out. It's on the heavy side, but you don't get this sort of quality, space, durability, stability in a double-wall without some sacrifice. There is not another 4-season tent that "breathes" as well as the Marmot. None. In fact, check out the imitation TNF is up to in how they are providing vents through the fly-sheet (e.g. Ambition35)- JUST LIKE THE CITADEL has use for years. Plenty of room for two winter climbers, trekkers, back-country skiiers etc. Three is possible, but... Also, two doors/vestabules are great - one for cooking and storing plastic-boot shells, packs, etc and one for entry/exit. Also, coming back to base in the early winter dark is aided by the reflective guy-out points (also being imitated). Quality is impeccable and internal storage options are well thoughtout as well. Customer Service: I spoke with the tent designer during the research phase and he wasn't very nice. However, all other contacts have been great. I usually inquire of additional tech info - which they readily share. Similar Products Used: TNF, Eureka, Jack Wolfskins, Integral Designs, Sierra Designs, EMS
