Summary:
Love this pack. For carring large loads it is the whip! Went to Algonquin with my 11 yo son, he carried bags and some clothes in a dry pack, I carried the rest, pack weighed 94 lbs at the start, I know what was I carring? Well the weight transfer to the hips was great plenty of places to store hang stuff. I also have used this pack every month with the scouts, and treat it like hell, for 2 years. It is holding up great. I did add 2 compression straps hooked to the clevis pins to carry more gear.

Price Paid:  $85.00 at Brown's

Summary:
Classic frame pack design, but very nicely done. Seems to be very well made--been completely durable so far. Waterproofing is fantastic. On my last trip, we went trekked for nearly 5 hours through very thick, very rough undergrowth without any sort of trail. My Yukon took the abuse much better than I did. By the time we made it to easier going, it was pouring down rain, but by the time we stopped for the night everything in the pack was still bone dry. Waterproofing is big here in the great Pacific Northwest. It's Kelty, so you know it's got to be good. Highly recommended as a starter pack.

(Also, they're not all as ugly as the blue one pictured on the top of this page. My turquoise one is pretty handsome.)

Summary:
Very pleased. This bag has taken me through 3 years of outings every month with the BSA. Worked wonderfully during the 70 miles enjoyed at Philmont. Not one problem. So pleased with Kelty I sold this one to a good friend and purchased a Telluride internal frame pack because I wanted a more technical pack with more attributes. Hope i enjoy it half as much as this pack.

Summary:
I am not very sure about this pack.It is not comfortable at all and not worth the money, buy a Jansport Rainer or Yosemite for 70$ more if you plan to be serious. As for me, I am switching to Gregory internal frame packs for now on.

Summary:
Waste of money. The bag strap holder broke on the way out on the first (and only) trip with it. Found the seams to be very weak and very limited capacity. Two words: never again.
