at Paris, France in 197 Summary: I bought this stove in Paris, France in August, 1972 for $20 and have used it ever since. So after almost 36 years it still works perfectly (I used mine two weeks ago on a kayak trip). Stable, works every time, easy to pack. Newer models (the Himalaya) burns multiple fuels. Customer Service: Never needed any. Similar Products Used: I have a dual burner model of this stove but it's only 30 years old. Still does its job though.

at A&H Summary: very good stove. It loves Exxon clear lite. Works fine with jet-A fuel and Kerosene. Clearlite has no bad smell, it's like water and burns clean. This stove has great flame control. It uses the same burner assembly as the Optimus 111C hiker and Explorer. Only draw back is it's not a multifuel stove. Good point is that when using clear lite fuel it will not stink up your gear if you spill some. Customer Service: The A&H Enterprises folks are super nice. Similar Products Used: Optimus: Explorer, Nova, Hunter, 111 and 111C hiker, Ranger, Seva & climber. Petromax. MSR: DragonFly, Whisperlite. A&H Russian R-1 ( optimus hunter copy) Primus: Himalaya VariFuel.
Coleman: Peak1 feather 400, 533 dual fuel, all kinds of green suit case types.

, from Sweden Summary: Compact stove with good efficiency. The fuel tank, which is integrated with the stove tends to be somewhat overheated when stove is used togehter with larger fryingpan or similar, but works otherwise fine. Cleaning needle is built in.
