Day Hiker
Price Paid:
$175.00
at Bent Gate Summary: These are the Utah GTX Plus boots, which are taller than the normal GTX. These are excellent boots. They felt great out of the box, and are getting better with every hike. The Italian construction of the boot is top notch. The boot works excellent in snowy conditions (have not had the chance to use them in any other conditions yet). I bought these on-line, and they were on sale from $225 down to $175. Expensive, but worth it. Had I been able to try these on in a store, I would have been willing to pay full price. This is the second of Akus that I have owned, and if they hold up as well as the first pair, they will take over as the best boot I have ever owned. Similar Products Used: Vasque Sundowner MX2 (OK, But could have been better
Vasque Sundowner GTX (Don't buy the made in China boots!!! NOT a good boot)
