Backpacker

This is a nice little thing to have around on cold trips. Being small, the kettle heats water more quickly than in an open pot. This is about the right size to have to make hot drinks for 2 people. The kettle is very durable, and light enough for backpacking or even day hiking--I carried this with me on a full day hike, and used it to melt snow and make tea. Unfortunately, the spout design causes the kettle to dribble except when pouring VERY quickly, and it allows water to boil out a little when the kettle is nearly full. POSITIVE: compact, durable, quick to heat, fairly light, includes tea infuser basket, a good size for 1-2 people. NEGATIVE: The SPOUT is poorly designed and dribbles. The kettle is specific in function; a regular pot is more versatile and will perform the same function as the kettle. If you are already carrying a small to medium sized pot, don't bother carrying this kettle. For more than just 2 people, this kettle is too small.
