Summary: They work great. I can get into them easily whilst standing, almost like clipping into a ski binding. The long strap that goes to the toe bail gives added security, but I have never had them come loose anyway. The two ring buckle is easy to work, even with mittens if you really have to. The micro adjustable heel clip makes the perfect fit easy. I threw away the cheesy clip that allows tool-less length adjustment and use the screw and nut instead. Funny, but each time I check, my plastic boots don´t seem to unexpectedly change length! Unless you use them on more than one pair of boots per trip, I don´t see the need for the clip. So far they seem durable and functional. The anti-balling plate is probably a good idea, and I am planning to buy a set soon. I don´t think balling is any worse with these than with other similar products my climbing partners use though.
