I bought a Lotus Sea Sherman PFD in the spring, and the fit, comfort, and freedom of movement are great and worth the rather high price. But it's only comfortable if I wear it over a spray skirt or wetsuit. Worn over just a shirt in a SOT, the straps dig into my skin on the sides and back just above the waist, and leave painful abrasions that look like whip lashes. It's a great vest, but I'm disappointed that I can't use it for my warm-water paddling, especially after paying so much.
