I demo-ed everything all season, then came the Burnin luv! What a great ski! A little heavy to lift, but when it hits the snow it carves beautifully.
I recommend this as a great all mountain ski, speed, bumps, carves.. the greatest!

I did a lot of research at first (gear reviews in ski magazines, online reviews, even a Vail women's ski instructor I got to talk to who had done a lot of demo-ing of women's skis), and this ski came out as one of the finalists. The thing that made it stand out (research-wise) was the versatality with few negatives. Then I demo'ed them. Oh man. Believe it when they say this ski is stable. I had never felt so comfortable and relaxed while ripping down at speed I never reached before. They grip even on icy surfaces, they go right through crud, handle powder like a breeze. Nothing fazes them. I get on them, and it's "gotta go gotta go!". The worst problem I had with these skis was finding them (size 160 cm). At first, the best deal I could find was $599 without bindings at REI. But by the time sales were starting, everywhere I went, they were sold out my size of this ski, including REI. Then I went to Christy Sports, and at first they said that they did have them available new on sale for $550 (including bindings), which sounded like a good deal to me. But then they couldn't locate a pair of these skis, even after calling around to various other Christy Sports stores. But they did have the demo skis. So they offered to take $100 off the sales price for the demo skis if I decided I wanted to buy them after demo'ing them. They looked like they had only been skied in once or twice before me. So I demo'ed them. When I got back from demo'ing these skis, I only had one word. "Mine". For Value Rating, I gave the skis a 4, because they are expensive, especially if you don't get them on sale. But these are absolutely the best skis I've ever tried. They are worth the extra money.

Customer Service

Christy Sports warrantees the skis for 2 years. I guess they will deal directly with K2 if there is a problem.
