Summary:
I love my Sage rods, but I think the Loomis rods are the best. THis rod is absolutely a casting machine, and is awesome. It feels much more 'lively' when I cast it than does my Sage rods. It is super-lightweight, yet strong. I use a 9 line on it, and the rod loads quickly and easily. I went to Christmas Island with it, and the guides loved the stick. On the expensive side, but amortize it over how many times you will use it over your lifetime, and you'll realize it's not so expensive. Why not own the best for a little more money? Of course, then you'll never have an excuse for poor casting! If the GLX rods are good enough for Steve Rajeff, they're good enough for me!

I use this rod to fishing "dorados" in Argentina.
The dorado that i´m reffering it isn´t the saltwater specie, and a south american freshwater specie.

Summary:
The rod is very powerful, yet easy to cast. It has a relatively soft tip, which allows for easy rod loading for close casts. Yet, the rod is very powerful in the middle and butt sections, allowing a person to carry a lot of of line, if needed, when casting. The weight is like other manufacturers' 6 or 7 weights. The rod is a casting and fishing machine, and is a pleasure to fish. In my opinion, one of the best, if not the best, 8 weight a person can own at this time.

Customer Service:
Excellent. Great at honoring warranty issues (fortunately, none with this stick).

Summary:
Great rod for Peacock Bass, Big Bass (freshwater)
Great rod for Snook, Bonefish, Light Steelhead, Anchor, Baby Tarpon, Permit. (Saltwater)

Customer Service:
Perfect. If the tip top brake, in a few days the rod is perfect back.
When I broke mine in 3 weeks the rod was at home with the tip top replaced.
NOTE: I´m in Brazil.
