I have a certain sentimental attachment to this rod since I received it as a gift 11 years ago, and that started me on flyfishing. This is a fine rod for someone who likes a more traditional action, on small to medium sized streams. Really is a pleasure to use with dries and small to medium sized nymphs. Protects fine tippets well. The Orvis description says it all. Do not recommend trying to throw a #6 weighted woolly bugger into the wind though. Customer Service:

In my experience the rod has treated me well. However it is the one I use the most. In comparison to a Winston or a Sage, the superfine is "stiff" Customer Service:
