I fell in love with this rod after my 1st practice cast. It was really easy to cast. The rod did the work for you. It makes a great casting loop. It wants more line than I can cast. They don't make these rods anymore, so if you can find one, I would recommend that you buy it. You won't be sorry. It's the baby brother to the new XP models. I went with the RPL+ because of the price, and it was a 4 piece. Customer Service:

I fished this rod on the South Platte River in Cheeseman
Canyon. (Col.) It can throw a big chunck of lead when
needed. I would recommend using a WF 5wt line with it when nymphing with lots of weight. This will be my primary rod on windy days and when heavy nymphing small
flies.
You can get these rods right now for about three hundred
