at Dan's tackle Service Summary: A most delightful rod. One of the best of the 40 I have. I use it for everything from 6" bluegill to 20" smallmouth to 15 pound carp. If it's in my rivers I'll use my 6'6" Scott to catch it. There are no issues with casting up to 40', with flies up to 4" in length with split shot. I love fishing with light, light rods for big fish. This does the job phenomenally. I built it from a blank. Customer Service: Never had to use, but when I email Scott with questions, they reply promptly and to the point. That's a wonderful sign. at Athens Flyfishing Summary: For the small stream fishing I do in the Southern Appalachains, this rod is outstanding. It has a great, silky casting stroke which lends itself to delicate presentations with dries. It also loads great at close ranges and has great accuracy. I actually have a couple of other rods that are even shorter at 6.5 and 6 feet respectively. Even in the tightest of brookie streams, I still prefer the 703/3 F series Scott. The accuracy keeps me out of the trees and fishing more. A big plus in this neck of the woods. It also has suprising backbone. I've actually landed two rainbows that where 24 inch plus on 7X tippet with this rod! I have casted T & T's new LPS series 5.5 foot 3 weight that was actually developed by Unicoi Outfitters of Helen, GA and T&T's Tom Dorsey for the Southern Appalachains. I have to admit that in straight out casting in the yard, the T&T casts better. I plan on purchasing one soon, so I'll write in a review and let you all know if this prowess translates to real world fishing situations. Until then the Scott F703/3 remains the king of small stream rods IMHO. Customer Service: Haven't had to use yet, even though I'm about to find how Scott's customer service is on my Eclipse 905-it has a cracked ferrule. , from 3289 A Sutton Pl NW Summary: FUNNNOMINAL ROD!!!! It is a sweet casting lil rod for dry fly/small crrek fishing... It has me woven under a spell. I have other rods and they probably would work better on many rivers, however that nice casting DT 3 line allows me to catch more fish and makes it so much more enjoyable... Customer Service: I broke the tip on a nasty fall in the smokies and had my rod repaired and back at no cost and am very pleased!!! Similar Products Used: nuthin... Besides I can't afford cane, which is all that comes close to this action.....

30 days a year Summary: This is truely one of the finest fishing rods ever designed. Sometimes the latest and greatest materials aren't always best. The delicacy of this rod is unmatched by graphite. I fish mostly in the mountains of North Carolina and Georgia. In this environment a short durable rod is essential. The first time I cast it I knew it was a winner; but on the water is where it comes to life. The short package makes it ideal for backpacking. This rod is a keeper and has my highest recommendation. I have cast the F704, and found that the rod was not as crisp as the F703-3. Customer Service: Unknown Similar Products Used: Lamiglass E-glass GLoomis GL3 6'6" 3wt. Winston Stalker Powell LT7334
