Purchsed this rod for smallmouth and largemouth bass fishing. I am delighted with this rod. The action is fast enough and it loads beautifully. I have been casting larger flies and the rod has been great for this. I started out with the St. Croix Pro Graphite and moved up to this rod and have been very pleased with the tighter loops and distance of cast. It is hard to go wrong for the money with this rod.
