Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
I have a 10 ft. 5 weight that I use for large trout and shad. It has performed extremly well in both lakes and rivers.
It is stiff enough to handle my shooting head system along with a varity of nymphing techniques...I love this rod!!!

Customer Service:
Great Customer Service. Had to replace the tip twice (my fault)

Summary:
The craftsmanship of this rod is second to none. For normal casting distances this is a great rod for me. Best nymphing rod I own.

Reviewed by: Anonymous User ,  30 days a year , from Longmeadow, MA USA

Summary:
I'm a big fan of T&T rods and now have them custom made for me. I have the HS905-4, and it really performs. Simple tip casts allows you to work small dries up close. This rod, to me anyway, feels more like med-fast action. The Horizon flexes beautifully, but recovers very quickly and smoothly! It's easy if not intuitive to throw out beautiful, tight loops. The addition of PacBay TiNitride guides only adds to its incredible performance. It's really quite easy to get a longish cast using a compact, accurate and relaxed casting stroke. As a nymphing rod, this is the rod for tactile response. I don't use indicators (personal choice) and somehow I feel well connected when using wets and nymphs with this fly rod more than any other. If you can demo any T&T rod for at least 2-days, do so. They are superb fly rod instruments....

Reviewed by: Anonymous User ,  50+ days a year , from Gig Harbor, WA, USA

Price Paid:  $515.00 at Morning Hatch Fly Shoppe

Summary:
This rod (HS 865-4) brings out the very best in my personal casting style. Its one flyfishers of all experience levels will find enhances properly learned casting techniques. My distance has measurably increased 12-15 feet without (consciously) modifying my stroke. Advertised as generating high line speeds, its easy to maintain control of fly presentations at all distances. A pleasure to handle throughout a full day on the river, it feels great with a 21" rainbow trout on the other end. T&T is definitely quality and performance personified.

Customer Service:
Have not needed it, but considering the quality of the rod, I fully anticipate an equally high level of customer service should it ever be needed.

Reviewed by: Dick Miller ,  40 days a year , from East Lyme, cT

Summary:
If I could only have 1 Fly Rod this would be it. I can cast long or short with it and it roll casts well when needed. Can easily cast a 6 line and even can handle a 7 line. Have used it on a trip with spools for 4, 5 and 6 line and it all works well. Makes real delicate presentations as a 4 line. Never tried a Horizon in anything less than a 9 ft so I can't speak for shorter rods.

Customer Service:
Haven't needed it
