Summary: This is the smoothest casting rod I have ever laid my hands on. Although it came in a kit, the IM6 graphit is great. I can feel the line weight and every size of fly I am casting. The overall balance of the rod lays well in your hands. I own Sage, Orvis and Scott rods - this by far has been the most pleasing.

Summary: This 3wt IM6 is extremely well balanced when coupled with my Teton #5 reel. The balance point is exactly where I hold the rod. I use an AirFlo Clear Intermediate (WF3I - 7000 Tactical Series) line, and it throws like silk. When I use my Olive AirFlo WF3F Floating Line the results are the same smooth performance. Folks have asked what I'm using from time to time, when I mention "Winston" there's a definite reaction. Buy the best, your're worth it. It makes the whole flyfishing experience more satisfying knowing your using a quality component.
Customer Service: Very helpful. Winston's dedicated staff comes through with shining colours!!!
