Reviewed by: Dave ,  30 days a year , from Toronto

Price Paid:  $250.00 at Redington pro staff

Body of Water:
Gulf Coast

Favorite State:
Florida

Summary:
This rod is simply amazing. It handles everthing from short roll casts to double hauled slings with ease. It translates casting energy into great line speed and feels solid even in the windiest conditions.
Fit and finish of the blank and componants is flawless. Its been used for a year with virtually no wear and tear showing. At this rate it will be in fine condition to pass on to my son when he catches the bug.

Strengths:
Outstanding casting control. Very comfortable in a variety of casting conditions.
Sweet detailing.
Robust and functional rod tube ( I purchased Redingtons rod and tackle combo bag for traveling - great package designed to withstand airline abuse ).

Weaknesses:
Reel seat fits at an awkward angle when tightened. No problems due to slippage or when removing the reel so it's probably no big deal.

Customer Service:
haven't needed this service yet, but I hear the folks at Redington are first class
