Price Paid:  $200.00 at Bear's Den

Body of Water:
Cape Cod

Favorite City:
Cotuit

Favorite State:
MA

Favorite Country:
USA

Summary:
I wanted to have the lightest setup I could put together that would be capable of fishing all day for school stripers, fluke, blues, albies, and bonito. I matched this rod with an Orvis LA Battenkill IV, because of weight, line recovery, and big game drag.

Strengths:
Nice combination of ease of use and casting punch, suprising backbone for a 7 weight. I always have this rod in the car, and have also used it for freshwater bass and trout. Very versital.

Weaknesses:
If you get into a big fish with strong current, you might wish you were using a 9 or 10 weight. Best for shallow bays.

Customer Service:
Excellent. I have had no problems with the rod, but lost some screws off a RS-2 reel. One phone call and they sent them right out N/C.

Similar Products Used:
I also own a Loomis GL-3 10 wt. and a Sage custom built 9 wt.
