Summary:
Review of RPLXI-590-3
Rod does not cast well with anything but a WF line. Started with a DT and had trouble with any distance. Changed to WF and rod did much better. Don't know if DT overloaded rod or rod speed could not handle heavier weight of DT line on extended casts.

Strengths:
Has good backbone for distance casting and heavy fish.

Weaknesses:
Stated above

Customer Service:
Have never used

Summary:
Sage has really come up with the best Saltwater Rods with the RPLXi. I hope they will stay with this product for it is the best fishing rod on the market right now, bar none

Strengths:
This rod is a blast. It's a great early season schoolie rod & holds it"s own in slinging depth charge type lines for winter & early spring pond fishing. Match it with a light reel & you'll have a first rate outfit

Weaknesses:
None

Customer Service:
First rate, Sage & our rep Brad Gage really stick behind their products. I own several S age RPLXi's & think they fish better than any rod I've owned & trust me I've tried a lot!

Summary:
Great rod for the angler who needs everything. There are many species of inshore fish that do not demand a big rod such as a 9 or a 10wt. This 6wt. casts lik a dream. It is so smooth.

Strengths:
Wow this rod is light. It is the lightest Salt specific rod I know of. Three piece for easy travel. Strong for inshore fishing such as perch, stiper bonito, yellowtail, cobia, rockfish andmore.

Weaknesses:
If you are going to buy just one salt specific rod, don't buy this. It is too light for most situations.

Summary:
This is the rod for light line salt fishing. Whether your fishing warmwater flats or coldwater tide pools you can't beat the weight and castability of this rod. I never thought that I would see a salt specific 6wt. rod.

Strengths:
Easy to carry while on the road. Great for light salt fishing. I also use it for fishing Steelhead and bass. It really has a nice taper that is great for castability.

Weaknesses:
Limited use when fishing the salt. It is a very specific rod.
