, from Plano, TX - USA Summary: This is a great rod for larger saltwater prey. I've used this rod on False Albacore for the past few years which really test tackle and the rod has performed fantastically. Strong butt section allows one to put adequate pressure on the fish. Strengths: Great action, this is a "casting cannon". It can punch line out even under windy conditions. Weaknesses: None Customer Service: I haven't had to send my 10 wt in, but the service I received for my RPLX 8 wt rod was outstanding. Similar Products Used: Orvis Trident 10 wt TL

20 days a year Body of Water: Michigan -- Summary: A good king salmon and saltwater rod for travel if you're a reasonable caster and get the timing down. Strengths: A crisp and powerful rod that is easy to travel with. It handles big fish with authority and will really fire the line out. A good double haul with a TS450 line will pull line off the reel if the drag isn't set too tight. Weaknesses: Timing is everything and there's not a lot of feel to it. Similar Products Used: Various Orvis and Sage. I haven't compared it to a new Sage RPLXi.
