This rod rules. I have tried just about every big rod on the market. This particular rod provides plenty of power yet loads in close extremely well. Tarpon fishing requires a quick cast mainly in windy situations. This rod can allow you to float a 1/0 tarpon fly in just about any windy situation. The components are just about the nicest I have seen on any rod on the market. The powerful butt section provides you with more than enough power to land big brusiers quickly. The best part of the rod is you can cast it in close where most other rods on the market have no feel, yet can out cast any other tarpon stick on the market. Strengths:
The fact you can feel your line load in close. Powerful butt section, which allows you to battle any big tarpon and land quickly. Cast at any distance. Weaknesses:
