Price Paid:  $550.00 at R.E.I.

Summary:
If gunslingers of the old west had fished, this is the rod they would have chosen. It is a great seven weight for conditions that require a quick draw, such as sight fishing for bone fish, red fish, and striper. The rod fires with a minimum of false casts and shoots short or long with superb accuracy. I'd give it five stars if it had a full wells grip.

Strengths:
Smooth, easy loading action that delivers tight loops. Three pieces, travels well. Reel seat securely holds the reel without having to crank down on the locknut.

Weaknesses:
The Ritz grip is a bit unusual and leaves me wishing for a full wells after several hours of fishing.

Customer Service:
Have never used.

Summary:
A great all-around rod for the Salt. The rod loads easily for short casts, yet still has the power for long casts on windy days. If I only had one saltwater rod, this would be it. Unfortunately, my fly-fishing addiction forces me to have several rods.

Strengths:
Versitile, Durable

Weaknesses:
None

Customer Service:
Outstanding
