Price Paid:  $565.00 at Goose Hummock

Body of Water:
western MA & Cape Cod

Favorite State:

Favorite Country:

Summary:
If you love the feel of a good casting rod for big-game fish, this is a contender. Tremendous versatility, incredible up close and over distances (60-80 feet). True line-weight rating for several types of fly lines (DT or WF, sinking, sink-tip, e.g.). Use it for steelhead and schoolie stripers. The 4-piece version makes it ideal for the far flung traveller. Beautiful fit and finish throughout: looks great, performs great.

Strengths:
Tremendous feel for what the line is doing when casting and wonderful rod tip sensitivity. This rod does double duty for me on beaches (the flats) and jettys as well as in freshwater venues. Handles wide range of sinking and floating lines with equal aplomb. Handles large flies close-in and over distances; can't overemphasize the feel of this fly rod. I have the 9-foot/4-piece version and its performance is exemplary.

Weaknesses:
Haven't found one yet. The SC-series of T&T rods are probably your best bet if you really do plan on making a lot of casts with large, air-resistant flies.

Customer Service:
Haven't had a chance to test.
