Reviewed by: Rich Guardia ,  50+ days a year , from Tallahassee, Florida

Price Paid:  $400.00 at ebay

Body of Water:
Gulf of Mexico

Favorite State:
Florida

Summary:
I don't understand what the rage is about this rod. I should have cast the Vector before I bought it. Everyone who cast it says "well it has a nice reel seat but that's about it" I read so many great things about this rod that I thought for sure I couldn't go wrong with it. It's ok but the Sage XP 7wt blows it away with ease. Spend a $100 less & get the Sage. It's really a great rod.

Strengths:
Looks nice. Has a really nice reel seat. That's about it.

Weaknesses:
Action to slow. Doesn't seem to load very well with a 7wt line but a 8wt line seems to much.. Strange.

Customer Service:
Never used it

Reviewed by: Anonymous User ,  50+ days a year , from White Hall, MD USA

Price Paid:  $605.00 at Old Village Flyshop

Body of Water:
Atlantic Ocean

Favorite Country:
Bahamas

Summary:
The nicest 7 wt. rod I've ever cast. Perfect bonefish rod. It would also do fine for breaking albies- pinpoint fast casts. I've used it on stripers, but it's so pretty, I'm leary to bust it up with lead eyed flies. Who ever thought you'd spend this much for a rod, but casting is believing.

Strengths:
Light in the hand. Very fast, yet somehow it doesn't feel like it's all in tip. Carries tremendous amount of line in the air. Tracks straight as an arrow. I've been able to fish in wind that normally requires an 8 or even 9. Lovely finish.

Weaknesses:
A little awkward to open up the loop when casting weighted lines.

Customer Service:
I haven't needed to use them yet.

Summary:
I love this rod! Works just as great throwing bass hair plugs as it does gently droping Crazy Charlies for bones. This is now my favorite rod for light/medium salt and lake fishing.

Strengths:
Smooth and powerful.

Weaknesses:
None

Customer Service:
Excellent.
