Body of Water:
moving water

Summary:
The rod I have is Sage 8150-4. I like this rod VERY much, my favorite of the three spey rods I own. I fish it with a DT9F line. This rod loads very smoothly and unloads just as easily. It is also possible to fish sinktip with this rod, and I have custom designed a sink-tip line for that purpose. The rod is inherently a bit heavy because of the 15 foot length, but is very well designed and the rod does a lot of work with only a little effort. I would gladly buy this rod again if something happened to this one. However, this rod is no longer made, so that might be difficult. I have not tried the replacement for this rod, the 9150-4, which I hear is slightly stiffer and heavier

Strengths:
smooth, great mending with 15' length, easy to use, nice action, well made.

Weaknesses:
a bit heavy, though that comes with a 15' rod)

Summary:
Great rod for spey casting, haven't casted tons of other rod but you can't go wrong with this one

Strengths:
Excellent rod to learn how to spey cast on, plenty of reserve in the butt.

Weaknesses:
Not the best if you like to overhand cast, get a stiffer rod; talked to two guys that busted their rods (that were replaced)

Customer Service:
Excellent although cam be slow
