at Cabelas Body of Water: Jemez Mtn Area Favorite City: Jemez Springs Favorite State: NM Summary: So far I think the inexpensive 3mm waders are as good as other more expensive neoprenes but I am not a wader expert. They work great for me and thats what counts. There is a local sporting goods store where I live and they are selling old used and patched up neoprenes in their bargain bin for more than I paid for the Cabelas.
Strengths: Fit me like a glove. Plenty of stretch for bending and I stay comfortable all day. Pretty easy to take on and off. Seem very durable. I like stocking foot waders because I can wear shoes that really fit my feet and that means alot when I'm hiking and wading quite a bit and out from sunrise to sunset. Weaknesses: Feet get wet. Probably due to not wearing proper wading boots. My shoes fill up with water and then as I walk and put pressure on the soles the water gets squished through the neoprene. However, my feet don't feel wet until I take the waders off and realize my socks are soaked. May be different when the water begins to get really cold though but I should try water tight boots first before I call Cabelas.
Customer Service: Next to none! I called Cabelas and the people I talked to acted like I was a very important client. I am not used to that. I was going fishing that Thursday and I called on Tuesday. They said they could have the waders here in 2 days. They were here.
Similar Products Used: These are my first real waders. Have used rubber boots and old hip waders that did not fit me good.
