Backpacker
Price Paid:
$80.00
at Sportco Summary: I only wore these about 12 times. I never sweat much in them, and didn't know to turn them inside-out after use (my fault I guess), but they're really no better than strainers now. Leak profusely Customer Service: Never tried Similar Products Used: Hodgemand stream-light (I think was the name), and many brands of neoprenes.

at outdoor emporium Summary: Don't buy these. I followed care inst. to the t and have had earlier wadelites before. These began to leak like crazy at the neoprene interfaces on both legs after one season. Not durable. You get what you pay for I guess... Similar Products Used: Earlier wadelite models

$0.00 Body of Water: Taneycomo Favorite City: Branson Favorite State: MO Favorite Country: USA Summary: Both my wife and I have had Hodgeman and both of us had to return them to the retailer after lealing in the crotch areas. My wife's lst pair lasted about 3 months, her 2nd pair about 3 weeks. My 1st pair lasted about 90 days. Sure can't recommend this product. The price was right but the quality was crummy.
Bob Strengths: Comfortable, light weight. Weaknesses: Poor quality Customer Service: Dealt with retailer, Bass Pro Shops, which provided excellent servic. Similar Products Used: Simms

at Sportsman's Warehous Body of Water: Amber Lake Favorite City: Cheney Favorite State: WA Favorite Country: USA Summary: Tried two pairs. In each case, the waders are good if I'm in the water for 3 hours or so. When I'm in for 6 hours or so, leaking begins around the ankles. This is my 2nd pair of breathable waders. My first pair were a relabelled generic brand from White's Outdoor, cost about the same, and lasted me 3 years, so I have to rate the Hodgeman Wadelite as pretty poor. Strengths: low cost Weaknesses: leak, belt not integrated, shoulder straps are pretty thin Customer Service: Great (Sportsman's Warehouse) Similar Products Used: White's Outdoor

Price Paid:
$90.00 Summary: After exchanging Hodgman Wadelites twice for new pairs, I have bought Orvis waders. The Hodgman waders began to seep moisture around the ankles, soaking my socks, even after following their drying instructions to the tee, turning inside out, etc. My advice is to spend the extra $100 for a premium brand label that performs. Hodgman was not cooperative when contacted directly, but blamed the owners maintenance for the problems. After talking to several others who learned the same hard lesson, I think its an inherent problem with design. Strengths: Inexpensive Weaknesses: Seep moisture after a couple of dozen times of fishing. Although listed as breathable, Hodgman admits they do not breathe while in the water Customer Service: Not Acceptable Similar Products Used: Orvis Silver Label No Sweat
