Mine are a women's pair that I purchased for loaning to girlfriends that wanted to go fishing. They were used but in very good condition with no tears, leaks, or abrasions. They are the same quality and type of cordura nylon material as the original style brown Simms Gore-Tex waders (which I personally use and recommend), but in a green color. The Gore-Tex bootie tends to bunch up a bit in the boot, but they are much cooler in the summer and keep your feet drier than the current neoprene bootie styles most Gore-Tex waders come in. I believe these have been discountinued by LL Bean, but I have seen a few pair for sale on eBay. Mine needed treated with Revivex to restore water repellency to the fabric. This is not to be confused with the waterproofness provided by the Gore-Tex laminate between the inner and outer fabric layers. You will need to treat your Gore-Tex waders with Revivex available direct from W.L. Gore about once a year if you fish heavily. Expect to do this on any used pair of Gore-Tex waders, and the big bottle costs $20 which is the one I recommend since waders need a heavy dose of Revivex due to their constant use in water. When the outer fabric waterlogs, Gore-Tex becomes no better than other types of fabric in sweat transfer. Properly maintained, Gore-Tex is by far the best and most durable wader material proven by independent lab tests. Strengths:
Lowest cost Gore-Tex waders. Same quality as original Simms Gore-Tex waders. Gore-Tex is Gore-Tex. Buy according to the fabric the Gore-Tex is bonded to and the fit/style, since brand differences mean nothing when comparing Gore-Tex. Weaknesses:
No longer available. Buy Simms lightweight Gore-Tex waders instead if you cannot find a used pair of Simms or LL Bean Gore-Tex waders that fit. Customer Service:
