Summary: Durability is an issue, I have put 2 seasons on these and have had to fix multiple wear spots and pin holes. They tout them as waders for guides who spend 200 plus days on the river a year, there is no way these would hold up to that type of use. High wear areas wore through rapidly(between legs and on feet)
Strengths: Love the breathability, fit and comfort. Will never go back to neoprene
Weaknesses: Fabric durability is very poor, areas that rub such as between legs wore through within 20 trips.
Customer Service: I will be trying them out very soon. I have never had a problem in the past.

Summary: I was somewhat bewildered and frustrated after some ridiculous sizing issues with Patagonia and Orvis. I had always liked Bean's waders, but I wanted to try everything else first. Simms was out of the question because their warranty is pitiful compared to Bean, Patagonia, and Orvis. Bean has every size (M, ML, MS, ...) with 2 different foot sizes. Now that makes sense. And they had every size in stock, unlike Orvis and Patagonia.
Strengths: The shoulder straps are adjustable in front and in the back. The soft neoprene material used for the shoulder straps is extremely comfortable. These waders are VERY COMFORTABLE and surprisingly warm during winter fishing. The built in gravel guards are fantastic.
I like how Bean constructed the reinforcement layer from the knees down. Unlike Orvis, Patagonia, and Simms, Bean's reinforcement is on the OUTSIDE of the Gore-Tex. This means that if you get a small rip in the knee or shin you still have your full layer of Gore-Tex unharmed. These waders are TOP QUAILITY from top to bottom. I don't regret my decision to buy them at all. And I have a lifetime satisfaction guaruntee that is the best in the business.
Weaknesses: I would have preferred neoprene feet on this model, but it's no big deal.
Customer Service: Haven''t had to use them yet, but I''m thoroughly impressed so far.

Summary: with the exception of durability, the gore-tex breathable waders is everything it has been touted to be. i was debating whether to purchase breathable gore-tex waders from simms or a similar style from patagonia. unsure about fact, fiction, or hype, i opted to purchase the ll bean's based on personal experience buying other bean products over many years and their guarentee.
Strengths: light, comfortable, & truely breathable. with polartec undergarments its a 4 season wader. ll bean's guarentee is the best in the industry.
Weaknesses: durability. in less than a year i've had to patch 3 pinholes that occurred where the seams are taped, 2 on the leg and one on the foot.i expected more durability for its price, $300.
Customer Service: if leaks continue i'll try the guarentee.
