Price Paid:  $35.00 at eBay

Body of Water:
Ozark Streams

Favorite State:
Arkansas

Summary:
No longer made by Orvis. Coating is very slick and will no absorb water, so it will be somewhat warmer than similar thickness of regular neoprene with nylon cloth on both sides. I had seen quite a few of them lately on eBay, no doubt due to them being recently closed out by Orvis. I got mine for a song, but would not consider paying the $150 retail price. LL Bean will sell you a more durable wader with built-in gravel guards and external pocket for $75. If you can get a pair on eBay for around what I paid, go for it. Otherwise, you would be better off spending the money on 300 weight polarpile pants to wear under your breathable waders in the winter.

Strengths:
This is a specialty wader for people that want a warm but less restrictive neoprene wader. Slick coating may prevent breakdown of neoprene due to UV and ozone exposure, but I'm just guessing.

Weaknesses:
Stay away from brush, as the slick coating is not as damage resistant as nylon jersey cloth used on regular waders. There is no taping of outside seams, so seams may develop problems later on. Retail price was way too high relative to other brands such as Remington or LL bean.

Customer Service:
Orvis has very good customer service.

Body of Water:
McKenzie River --

Summary:
I would recommend this wader if you fish in realitively brush free river systems. The outer coating on the neoprene is very slick making wading less tiresome, however the coating is not very durable.

Strengths:
The waders are very easy to get on and off. They conform to the body but are not constricting. The waders have a slick, rubbery coating over the neoprene which allows the waders to dry very quickly. Due to the slick outer surface, water flows easily around the waders resulting in less felt force while wading.

Weaknesses:
Outer surface tears very easily. No pocket for odds and ends.

Customer Service:
Have not used.
