Summary:
Fantastic wader for all seasons. Warm neoprene bottoms (just above the knees) with room in the boot makes for warm spring and fall Steelhead fishing. Roll down the breathable top for late spring and summer trout fishing. If you want in and out of your waders quickly and easily or if you want more warmth for spring and fall, these are great. And, they're not too hot for summer with a light pant inside. The breathable material isn't Gortex, but for the price, it's hard to beat. As well, I've had no problems with punctures and I bushwhack a reasonable amount and, though I don't recklessly charge through the woods, I don't baby the waders either.

I'd give it a 4.5 if I could. Nothing's perfect, but this is a damn good wader.

Strengths:
Great breathable top, quick to put on, durable breathable material, good fit with the boot fit, felt gives good grip, useful chest pocket (exterior) for medium to large fly box and useful zip-up pocket (interior) for keys, etc., opposite suspender clips for rolldown belt use, comes with belt, SERVICE, SERVICE, SERVICE.

For Canadian dollars, you can't beat any Wardell wader. The $500 is in CDN dollars. As well, I only paid CDN $350 for them on sale.

Weaknesses:
Good, but not great, fit with boot fit if you are doing a lot of hiking, and heavy if you are packing for trips.

Customer Service:
These guys stand behind their product! Had a minor leak in the breathable material near the neoprene/breathable junction. Sent them (my cost of shipping) to them and they replaced them (their cost of shipping) as the breathable material had been upgraded. However, while on a trip (I picked them up literally on the flight out) I discovered the new cut had a slightly lower crotch resulting, for me, in a lack of mobility. So, when I received the new ones, they were too short. I had to fish them on the trip though. No problem, they replaced those with a pair of Kings (their cost of shipping). All no questions asked and with very useful and knowledgeable people at every step. I can't say enough about the service.
