Summary:
Don't be fooled by the image that appears... this is NOT the correct image for this vise. Also the description refers to this as a "rotary vise" which is also a bit misleading... it's actually a "rotatational" vise, which allows you to rotate the head into any position but it's not a rotary, which allows you to essentially spin the head and continue applying materials while it keeps the hook shank in a straight "plane".

Irrespective of these facts, this is a FINE vise, which requires no adjustments to obtain perfect tension on the hook, and is available in two jaw sizes, midge for tying from sizes 28-10 and standard for tying from 14-3/0.

It's a very comfortable vise to use for long tying sessions, as it has a large flat area to rest your "off hand" on while tying and the finish is non-reflective, which is easy on the eyes.

Strengths:
No need to go through a myriad of settings to obtain correct jaw pressure

Comfortable to tie at for long sessions

Allows for 360 degree rotation of fly for examination while tying and/or to apply materials to underside of hook shank.

Weaknesses:
Need to purchase two heads if you tie flies in sizes from 28-3/0

Failure to mount hook far enough back in jaws can reesult in chipping, but it's covered by the warranty.

Customer Service:
Only needed to use once, and was very good.
