The tough stretch-woven shell with a goat leather palm provides durable grip on poles or an ice axe, and EVA padding over the fingers protects against tree branches and sharp ice. Black Diamond also added a large gauntlet to keep out snow, and a fleece and wool lining to wick moisture.
