Price Paid:  $60.00 at Rei

Summary:
This is a great pack for beginners and young backpackers. The material and construction are great, and the suspension system handles the heavier loads beautifully. Other pros include the pockets and all the space on the frame to lash extras on. My only complaint is the bar that keeps the pack open bends to easily.
This is a great pack for beginners and is a bargin, especially when you shop around.

Customer Service:

Summary:
i bought this pack on sale, so it was an exceptional value. though i've seen this pack recommended for youth, it comes in 2 sizes and the larger one fits me well and gives additional pack volume (3400 cu. in.). there are plenty of pockets to organize gear, the frame fit is great, though i'd say the zippers take 2 hands to operate which can be a hassle. other than that i have no complaints with this pack. i feel it's a perfect size, any larger and you are packing too much gear.

Summary:
I purchased this external frame pack for my 11 year old new Scout for his weekend camps. Materials and workmanship are stout. The telescoping frame and adjustments to the suspension make it a perfect fit for him now and one that will clearly survive and grow with him well into his teen years. Plenty of usable space, divided main storage and pockets; plenty of room and loops to lash on a tent and bedroll. This is a perfect larger pack for a Scout.
