, from Santa Cruz, CA Summary: This is a pretty good unit for car camping, but it's way too heavy and very clumsy for serious backpacking. Similar Products Used: Lowrance Garmin 12

at Canadian Tire Summary: Good overall unit. Basemap coverage in Canada is acceptable and does cover all major roads and some minor ones. Most small towns are covered. There is good nav-aid coverage with most small lights covered on the basemap and the ability to add more detail through c-map nt charts though I have no details on the coverage provided by those. I am also unsure of the coverage detail of the mapsend land cd In Canada though I am told that it is good in the US. Customer Service: Customer Service can be slow to non existant at times. Sometimes though it is inexplicably fast like the same day for e-mails. Phone calls usually go unanswered to voicemail but do get returned. They seem less concerned with providing free updates of the GPS to their customers than Garmin does. Similar Products Used: None
