I purchased the Magellen 310 after reading an article about the unit in an aviation magazine. As a private pilot, I wanted it as an aid to situational awareness in small rental planes that might not otherwise be equiped with permanent GPS.
I've been very pleased with the results I've obtained. I've found it to be accurate, and have good signal reception inside the planes that I've flown. No moving map, but really all I need is bearing, heading, and current location.
I would recommend it as a simple, inexpensive GPS. Customer Service:
