Price Paid:  $60.00 at Gander Mountain

Summary:
It is not as hard as the external frams as the Blackjack because the fram forms to the shape of the back. The wast strape is not like some other. The strap has the buckle on the outside only not the inside and ouside. I would say that it is easy on the back because I have back problem and the pack did not give me pain while siting at the campsite and walking.

Price Paid:  $70.00 at Galyan's

Summary:
Despite the size this pack is a monster. You can just keep stuffing it and stuffing it. A problem for me since I'll bring to much back if I have the room. It's removable stays are good for lighter loads and the suspension is very comfortable. Only one pocket on the lid but the side zipper allows oyu to access the entire contents when laying on it's back. A very nice feature indeed. For the size it is and amount it carries, the weight is very low. A real bargain.

Summary:
ok first things first, this pack ia a great bargin, who can complain at $60?? when i got this pack i was a bit warry of the size but if you cant do a week in a 3200 cu. pack yer overpacking!! anyway i have carried this pack for over 350 miles now w/ no complaints and i love it. the most weight i have carried in ugly thing was 23 lbs and that was on a 100+ mile solo trip in the uintas for 5 days. nothing inside got wet on hte whole trip, the size thing was a major joke for alot of people on the trail that laughed at me when i said i was doing the entire trail, but hey the light pack was the key to high mile days, if yer looking for a good pack that is cheep and well built then this is the one fer you. ya might want to play Dr. on the pack like i did and cut off all the long straps and anything else you think could go. happy hiking!!
