Summary:
This is a great for lugging around 40-60 lbs without much problems. I used this pack on a 10 day jaunt through Mexico and Belize as well as several climbing trips and it has performed very well. The build of the pack is top notch and takes well to the wear and tear on the trail. The compresion straps are great, as are the customizable straps and hip belt. I would recommend to anybody looking for a great mountain/extended trip pack.

Customer Service:
No need for it.

Summary:
I just took this pack on a 6 day excursion through the rockies and i was quite satisfied. I had my pack loaded pretty hefty (50-70lbs) due to some weak gals on the trip. My only problem was that i found the shoulder straps to be a bit annoying. I prefer a wider strap with softer padding so investing in some aftermarket straps is not a bad idea. The hip belt was great and its ability to adjust was very convenient. THe Nalgene Holster was excellent idea from Gregory. No complaints on this pack.

Summary:
Got this pack two years ago and it has been great. Very durable and well constructed. The newer version (2002 and up) of this pack is much better. It was a good idea for them to rotate the water bottle holder. I have the older version and it's hard to get to on mine. Also, the older ones are really pretty heavy (8 pounds for my large) The new ones are something like 6.5 which is a great improvement. This pack is really comfortable and easy to adjust. If you are looking for just one pack that can do everything then this is an excellent choice. I have been getting really anal about weight lately so i am looking for a smaller/lighter pack. I hope to get one for under 3 pounds that I can use for 3 to 4 nights. If you are like me, and only really go out for 5 days max, with a load of 30 pounds, then this pack is overkill. I'm looking at the Gregory G-Pack for my next bag. It only weighs 2 pounds 11 oz and the large holds over 3000 ci. Plenty for a long weekend and it's only $150 at REI.

Customer Service:
Haven't had to call them yet.

Price Paid:  $199.00 at Mountain Miser

Summary:
I have had my Palisade since 1992. This is by far the best pack I have ever owned. Very, very comfortable and the perfect size for multiple day trips. After more than 10 years of use, I have had nothing go wrong with this pack. The quality and workmanship are second to none. This pack originally came with a gription mesh hip belt and would rub my hips raw until I got used to it. In 2001, I decided I wanted the updated Flow-Form hip belt. No problem. The new belt fit exactly the same. My compliments to Gregory. They make a great product.

Customer Service:
Never had to use it.

Price Paid:  $165.00 at campmor

Summary:
Used this pack on a 10 week hike on the AT. The pack is very functional and durable. The only service I need during these ten weeks was when I fell and landed very hard and had to replace a bolt on the waist strap. Also, after all the time on the trail the pack stayed very clean. The only downside to this pack is it's weight. I took off the top section and that helped quite a bit. The best way to counter the heaviness is to pack smartly. But when you pack light, the pack is a little too big. If you are a pack rat (enough stuff to where the 1-1.5 more pounds than some other comparable packs) it is a great pack. But if you are a light-weight hiker, I'd recommend a smaller, lighter pack.

Customer Service:
I haven't need it.
