Summary:
Fantastic pack. Extremely versatile. I've used it on day-hikes, weekend trips, and one four day loop. I was a little tight for space on the loop, but I found a way to strap my sleeping bag to the bottom. The hip straps are a little thin for loads of more than twenty pounds, but the pack wasn't really designed for that anyway. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Customer Service:
REI is fantastic.

Price Paid:  $80.00 at REI

Summary:
Purchased mainly for long day hikes where
I needed to carry a lot of water and/or gear. I really did not need this much volume but I liked the way it fit ( I am 6'2" with long torso) and had nice padded hip belt. I did not want another daypack that basically hung from your shoulders with maybe a little strap that was supposed to go around waist but really ends up in middle of stomach. I could just about do an overnight trip with it but haven't tried that yet.

Very nice design and quality. Interior zippered mesh pockets are nice for organization. Zippered compartment for water bladder and exit ports over both shoulder straps are nice. I usually bring two bladders: 1-100oz with water in hydration compartment and 1 -50 oz with fluid replacemnt in the large mesh compartment or in top of main compartment dpending on rest of load.
One addition I would make would be lift tabs on shoulder straps - but for weight the pack designed for maybe you don't really need, but would add to comfort. Highly recommended.

Customer Service:
Never had a problem with REI in over 30 years.

Summary:
I use this pack mostly for single day trips, usually when i am flyfishing. It is very comfortable and carries meium size loads very well. I have the LArge size, 2800 cu. in. Basically, this is a pack that doesn't have anything real fancy, it just has everything that you need in a pack. Large amount of storage in the main compartemtn, which can be accessed from either a top loading panel or a side zipper. Perhaps the best feature of the pack is the boot holder on the back. This will hold anything from a snowboard to ski boots to wet waders. When I hike into the backcountry to do some fishing, i can strap by boots or waders there and not warry about them. Overall, a great daypack.

Customer Service:
