I use these shoes for casual wear and for short hiking trips. The sole is stiff and the uppers comfortable. I have to tie them a little tight, however, as the mid-tops don't hug my ankles snug enough. Overall, I'd recommend this shoe for casual wear and light hiking. Customer Service:
