, from Shrewsbury, MA, USA Summary: I have 3 pair of L.L. Bean boots including the Light Hikers. All are excellent values and fit their trail niche very well. The only thing I wish they would improve on is the tongue width which isn't quite wide enough for my average foot. Customer Service: L.L. Bean sets the standard for customer service. , from Huntsville, AL Summary: I got these boots as light backpacking boots for warm, dry weather. They have worked out excellent. They have a super-fuzzy inner lining which makes them extremely comfortable. They regulate heat well on hot days. I have had no problem with durability. The sole has also helped out on some tough, rocky scrambles and short rock climbs. And you can't beat the price anywhere.

Backpacker
, from Dayton, TN Summary: A good pair of boots. they were warm and pretty well water resistent but the thing is that they fell apart. The soles came apart from the upper within 4 months of wearing them and little hiking. I took them back to the local outfitters and returned them, only to exchange them for the same boots. This pair lasted me 6 months, then they fell apart too. I am a rather heay hiker(185) so maybe they're not built strong enough. Customer Service: Similar Products Used: None
