Mountaineer
, from Ft. Collins Co Summary: Can't say enough good things about these boots, the have been phenomenal. Used them mainly for extended backpacking, and even some mountaineering and climbing in them. They are a great pair of heavy wieght boots. The only thing to beware of, is the insole, it's worthless, and you might notice after a long day your feet are really, really tired. go with the superfeet insoles, and you have a damn good pair of boots though. had these for about 2 years now, and a lot of miles, and they are still good for more. take good care of them and they'll last you forever. Customer Service: have yet to need it. Similar Products Used: asolo (crap), koflach, scarpa, montrail, and several other pairs of salomons.

Price Paid:
$145.00
at Alpine Hut Summary: These have been the best pair of boots I've ever owned. They have given me their all when on a tough backpacking trip and that's as much as I would ever need. They offer good traction, high quality, and a comfortable fit.
I would reccomend them to anyone looking for a good medium to heavy weight boot. Similar Products Used: None

Climber
, from Anchorage, Alaska, USA Summary: These boots have performed very well for me during the last year. I'm still growing, so I know I'll have to replace them soon, but I'll be able to sell them to somebody else--if you take good care of these boots, they'll stand up to as much abuse as you can give them (I've put about 4,000 miles on them in one year). The soles are great, very sticky. The boots are very comfortable out of the box, but they are amazingly comfortable after about five months heavy use.
