, from Texas Summary: I use this little unit as a cheap alternative for GPS. A lot of the trails I hike dont have markers, so what I do is use this pedometer to track how far I have hiked from the last point. For example, I know a really of a really good riffle on my local river, but I used to always forget where exactly it was, distance-wise. I bought this to track how far it was, and I bring it everytime I fish that riffle. Now I never pass it by, or stop too short! The niteview lights up the screen well, and it is reasonably cheap! Much cheaper than GPS! Customer Service: No exp. Similar Products Used: None
